In Japan’s healthcare sector, the shortage of healthcare professionals is becoming increasingly critical due to the progression of the declining birthrate and aging population. To address this issue, the promotion of healthcare digital transformation (DX) utilizing digital technology is deemed urgent.
According to the “DX White Paper 2023 (Part 2)” published by the Japan Information Technology Promotion Agency in March 2023, the implementation status of DX in the medical and welfare industries remains at about 9%, revealing a significant lag compared to other industries.
Considering these circumstances, the advancement of healthcare DX is essential for reducing the burden on medical personnel, improving operational efficiency, and providing high-quality medical services to patients. There is a strong demand for the development and societal implementation of systems that allow for the more rapid and efficient monitoring of a large number of patients.
In response to such needs, our company is advancing various research and development initiatives centered on our proprietary ultra-high-speed video processing technology. We are promoting collaborative research with various research institutions as well as national, public, and private universities to achieve healthcare DX.
Recently, we received a request for practical collaborative research from the medical department of a prominent national university in the Kansai region, which we have agreed to undertake. We plan to disclose specific research details to the extent possible in due course. Negotiations are underway to commence collaborative research from 2025, and we believe that the outcomes of this research will contribute to innovations in the healthcare field.
We anticipate that this collaborative research will significantly contribute to solving challenges in the healthcare field. We sincerely ask for your continued guidance and support.
